📸 Photo series #28: Relationship between environment & street photography
Street photographer: Rober Tomás
Engaging in street photography makes our environment photogenic. It's a way to explore every detail of the street: lights, colors, shadows, people, reflections, architecture, and more. It gives the possibility to discover the world through a third eye, the camera itself! In today's photo series, with the talented Rober Tomás, we spotlight the strong connection between people and their surroundings.

Sparks from the city by Rober Tomás
⏱️ Reading time: 4 min
They are photographs taken in different cities that motivate me to look differently. I am very interested in the relationship between the people who walk through their streets and the relationship they establish with their environment. It seems to me that every corner has a story to tell and I am passionate about trying to capture it in a photo.

Describe yourself as a photographer and where you are based.
I am a photographer and photography teacher who comes to Zaragoza (Spain) but who photographs in many Spanish cities and throughout Europe through my Workshop. I like street photography because it teaches me to look at everyday life differently and gives me the freedom to look for what inspires me inwardly and to understand myself as a creative person.

According to you, what makes a good picture.
For me, the important thing is that a photograph conveys an emotion. It doesn't matter if it's happy, sad, surprise or a fun moment, but I love photographing those moments that make the person who looks at it feel something when doing it. The photos that are simply beautiful and that's it for me are not enough.
Your favorite photographers and where you get inspired.
