Happy Monday,
To kick off the week on the right note, what could be better than a small dose of what we all crave for as photographers: Inspiration!
It took us some time to realize the significance of investing our spare moments in improving our skills. With that goal in mind, we explored various avenues to immerse ourselves in the world of street photography. It became clear to us that inspiration was the golden gem we had been searching for. No more delving into dry technical books or enduring technical lessons about photography – those were the less enjoyable aspects of our hobby. We vividly recall the day we purchased our first street photography book many years ago. Perhaps it sounds cliché, but it was a revelation: improving our approach could be achieved simply by lounging with a book and a good cup of coffee, far from screens and the digital world. We had the time we needed to explore, understand, and plunge into a new universe. Our first book was 'Photography Now,' not dedicated to a single photographer but many. As our skills progressed, we sought books focused on individual artists with complete universes to explore and discover.
Over the years, we discovered new ways to learn, one of them being following newsletters. The purpose was different – not an in-depth exploration of a single body of work but a daily glimpse into the creations of photographers we admired. It also became a way to witness their work gaining recognition by producing brilliant content. It was a means of being part of a community of enthusiasts.
Finding the right process of inspiration is about discovering the right channels to follow without being overwhelmed by too much content. We personally trust our instincts and go with our crushes. We've also established a routine, a specific amount per hour and per week. Sometimes we exceed it by far, and sometimes we may not feel like it, but we keep this goal in mind, and it helps us stay on track.
We're eager to learn more about you. How do you find inspiration? What's your routine?
Feel free to share this newsletter if you think it's a great way to get inspired!

Describe yourself as a photographer and where you are based
I’m a Mexican photographer, I lived 10yrs in Panama, there is where I discovered photography as a way of meditation, a way to be present and find art in candid moments.Street and documentary photography are my main interests, including portraits of random people that I find in the streets. Currently I’m back in my native Mexico City, I am re-discovering my photography; previously in Panama I was into BNW but now I found that Mexico is a country that shines with color.
